Jitterbug At The Cabin

After church yesterday we all met at the cabin to roast hotdogs and s'mores. The girls ran around and played in the creek. Ty and Kyle played horseshoes. Taya, Danny, and Josh played with Aunt Darlene (who they totally love). Taya turned into "Biscuit" the dog. So she acted like a dog - she barks, scratches, fetches, and whatever else dogs do. We all laughed at her, except Ty and Kyle, they didn't laugh, they think that she is so annoying when she does that. They are such the tolerant big brothers some days - oh well. And we all ate way too much. It was such a beautiful evening. Once it got dark it cooled right off and so Grandpa Gary started a fire and we all went in the cabin. Well, Grandpa put on some records (which most of our kids had no idea what they even were) and Grandma and Grandpa showed the kids how to Jitterbug. All the little girls had their first jitterbug lesson from Grandpa. All of them except Taya - she didn't want to. And you know Taya she doesn't do anything that isn't on her agenda. Taya did have fun playing with Max and eating marshmallows. There were lots of laughs and the little girls even wanted another turn dancing with Grandpa. It was such a fun time.

Last Saturday we were over to Grandma and Grandpa's house and we were all introduced to Danny's new imaginary friend "Guy". It was so hilarious, Kyle and Jordan took "Guy" and started playing keep away with him. Danny would run from Kyle to Jordan and back to Kyle while they pretended to play keep away with Guy. Danny was not happy with Kyle and Jordan. He did not think that it was funny at all. We were laughing so hard that we were crying. Well, Danny still has his friend and so this week Ty got to dance with guy. Danny was so ok with that. Ty and Guy were such good dancers.
